About Music at St Martin's
Joint Presidents: Orlando and Miranda Rock, Burghley House
Music at St Martin’s is a Registered Charity (No. 1124920) that promotes musical events and raises funds for the maintenance and repair of St. Martin’s Church, Stamford.
We promote a range of classical music concerts, including chamber music, choral music and organ recitals. Music at St Martin’s makes a significant contribution to the cultural life of Stamford and has placed St. Martin’s firmly on the musical map by promoting concerts that are further enhanced by the wonderful acoustics of the Church.
We are members of Making Music, the umbrella charity supporting and championing voluntary music
Donations for the Maintenance and Repair of the church building
From 2007 to 2011, we raised £8,500 for the building maintenance fund.
We operate personal and corporate membership schemes, and have an active mailing list of music lovers in the area. Members support the aims of the organisation and elect the management committee. We have a constitution and are registered with the Charity Commission, which gives us certain tax advantages.
Please contact us if you would like to know more, or complete a membership application form and return it to us. Your support and encouragement would be very valuable.
Our management team (trustees) are all volunteers and successful in their own fields.
