'Blessed Cecilia'A celebration of the music of Henry Purcell and Benjamin Britten, who took great inspiration from Purcell's music. The programme will include Purcell's 'Funeral Sentences' and 'Five Anthems', Britten's evocative setting of Auden's 'Hymn to St Cecilia' and works by other modern English composers.
The event will be a fund-raising event for the Down’s Syndrome Association.

Founded in 1932, the Bury Bach Choir is Suffolk's major large mixed-voice choir. The choir has singers from Bury St. Edmunds and the villages of Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire.

The long day closes A programme of tuneful choral music, some from the lighter side, featuring a return visit by this popular and excellent chamber choir from the East Midlands. Programme includes Barber's famous Adagio "Agnus Dei" and songs and motets by Vaughan Williams and Finzi, amongst others.

Music at St Martins is a series of musical events that utilise the wonderful acoustic of St Martin's Church, Stamford. All profits will be used towards the repair and maintenance of the building.
